The Rebate
The Labor Government has announced a $2.3 billion program to help make batteries cheaper for Australian households.
They have stated the rebate will reduce the cost of a typical battery by around ~$4,000 (about a 30% discount to the installed cost).

Who Can Claim the Rebate?
If you're a homeowner installing solar with a battery or adding a battery to your existing solar setup—you’re eligible!
There are supplier requirements:
To qualify, your installer must be SRES-accredited and your battery must be Clean Energy Council (CEC) approved.
