Who is eligible?

Australian residents and businesses looking to reduce their energy usage with renewables. Solar installations up to 100kW are eligible.

Small-scale technology certificates (STCs) reduce the cost of installing solar by reimbursing customers upfront for the energy the system is calculated to generate over a 10-year period.

How do you get it?

Registered agents (like us at Enreal) help customers claim the STCs you are eligible for. These are determined by your location and size of your system.

  The Labor party has made an election promise to offer rebates on home battery installations to incentivise and reduce the costs of getting a home battery.

New South Wales

• Up to $4,470 depending on battery capacity (larger batteries get larger rebates) and Peak Reduction Certificates determined by your postcode.
• Home owners in NSW who install eligible battery systems: Battery must be capable of joining an Energy Control Agreement (also called Virtual Power Plant or VPP)
• Additional payments are available for joining an Energy Control Agreement (VPP) with an energy retailer

How do you get it?

Victoria

• Battery Loan: Interest-free loans up to $8,800 are available for eligible customers & eligible installations. 4 year term. This is available on outright Home Energy Kit purchases.
• Solar Rebate & Loan: A rebate of up to $1,400 for solar panel installation is available in limited numbers. Interest-free loans up to $1,400 are also available for outright Home Energy Kit or Solar-only purchases.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible for a solar panel (PV) rebate in Victoria, you must:

1. Be an owner-occupier of the property
2. Household taxable income is less than $210,000 per year
3. Property is valued under $3 million
4. The property can’t have received a solar battery rebate before and also not had solar installed in the last 10 years.
5. If you've moved and received a rebate before, you can apply again for your new property if it hasn't previously received these rebates.
6. Battery must be at least 6kWh in size, inverter must be at least 5kW capacity.

Australian Capital Territory (ACT)

• Sustainable Household Scheme:
  Zero interest loans from $2,000-$15,000, repaid over up to 10 years.

ACT homeowners for upgrades to homes’ energy efficiency eg: solar, battery, EV charging infrastructure
