What are pre-works?
Pre-works are modifications that need to be made to your property prior to installing your Enreal Energy kit.
Why do I need to do pre-works?
We want to make sure you’re set up for success from day one, and ensure your installation is as efficient as possible. The Pre-Works list provided to you will only identify the critical items that need to be changed before installation can go ahead.
When should I do pre-works?
Your Enreal Energy kit quote is valid for 30 days so we recommend getting any works under way as soon as possible. Your pre-works need to be completed before you can accept your quote and place the deposit for installation.
Who can carry out the pre-works?
Any electrical works need to be carried out by a licensed electrician. The Enreal team can put you in contact with specialists in your area who can get the job done, quickly and easily. For help with your pre-works please call our team on 1800 844 022.
Proof
We need to explain how to prove pre-works. We can then book install.
Some examples of pre-works:
Internal note: These should be relevant but also achievable / not high-cost or high-involvement upgrades to the home
Switchboard Upgrade: Remove Asbestos
Your switchboard contains asbestos materials that need to be safely removed before any electrical work can safely go ahead.
Electricity Meter Upgrade:
All solar installations must have a smart meter (also called a digital meter or Type 4 meter) as old analog meters cannot measure exported solar power. An analog meter also wouldn’t allow your system to intelligently control your battery and maximise your savings – so it needs to be replaced prior to installing your kit.
Internet Connection
The inverter and battery needs to be able to connect to the internet. This can be via an ethernet cable (recommended) or by Wi-Fi. This is required for the system to intelligently control your battery and maximise your savings – so it needs to be available prior to installing your kit.
